Terms of use

Updated 19 October 2026

Jejak provides free public route discovery and GPX downloads. An account is required to publish and manage community contributions, but not to explore.

Contributing a trail

Publish only tracks, descriptions and photos that you created or have permission to share. Use an accurate place, activity and author name. Do not publish private information about other people, restricted locations, misleading route information or material that infringes someone else's rights. The site operator may remove a contribution to address privacy, accuracy, abuse or rights concerns.

The upload form asks you to confirm permission to share a community track and photo under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. That license allows others to reuse and adapt the contribution with attribution under its terms. Removing your copy from Jejak does not recall downloads or cancel permissions already granted under that license. Imported Topo GPS routes and credited place photographs retain their stated source permissions and licenses; they are not automatically relicensed by these terms.

Using routes

Routes are contributed records, not a guarantee that a path is safe, accessible or currently open. Conditions, access rules and terrain can change. Check local information and permissions before travelling, and respect communities, landowners and the environment. Jejak does not currently provide turn-by-turn navigation, offline maps or emergency services.

Keep attribution and source credits when reusing content, including OpenStreetMap attribution and the license terms associated with photographs and routes.

Your account and contributions

Use your own Google account and keep access to it secure. You can edit or remove your contributions while signed in. See the privacy policy for recoverable removals, retained backups, device storage and account-deletion requests. Personal GPX imports and bookmarks saved only in your browser can be lost when browser storage is cleared.
